Manmohan to address nation on eve of demitting office

New Delhi, May 8 (IANS): On the eve of his demitting office after ten years at the head of a UPA coalition government, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is to "address the people" in a farewell address.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be demitting office on May 17, a day after the Lok Sabha elections results are announced. He had earlier this year announced his retirement, after a decade at the helm of two successive United Progressive Alliance (UPA) governments.

"It will be a kind of address to the people.. The process of writing the speech has begun," a PMO official told IANS.

On Jan 3, this year Prime Minister Manmohan Singh addressed his final press conference, and only his third one in ten years. He announced his retirement from politics at the press conference.

    People who accuse MMS, one day they disown their own parents saying they did nothing for their kids. If MMS & Co. did not open the Indian Economy we would have been in 1970s instead of 2014. Now I see electronics, cars, washing machines, internet, etc. etc. can be seen in the villages of Mangalore. It is because of some good people in Congress not because of Advani, yeddi or reddy. Some credit to Vajpayee too. Grow up people, say thanks, you guys are not under slavery.
    Wait soon there will be a lot of loot and destruction and regret whom you voted for.

    Jai Ho, Sirji.. Tussi great ho... and also wish you all the best n thank you for the marvelous job. I remember u saying " time will tell" its always people find one's greatness after his departure, whatever and whoever utter anything the calm you maintain is great.. it is said DEEP RIVER RUNS SILENT. your attitude towards your critics is appreciable, in your place if some other were there should there be great hungama. i have seen ordinary TV anchors announcing that you are silent and not addressing nation, but the way u silenced them without even addressing shows your maturity.
    MANY does not understand the dignity of the PM OF INDIA. facing interview of some tv channel and answering them seems to be a great way of connecting people, but it is not true, working to resolve the loads of issues of the nation was your priority.
    Simply not the great nations welcome you and appreciated you. you are the pride of INDIA..
    Again hats off to YOU. Khene wale khete rehte hain, kehne do.

    I am not asking the image of Vajpayee. I am asking is there A.B. Vajpayee picture in every poster of Modi in Varanasi and all over India.

    If you say image, Dr. Manmohan singh is the Image in the hearts of every citizen of this country.

    Vajpayee never accomplished anything to the nation.

    Dr. Manmohan Singh is vulnerable and he built and sustained the nation.

    Congress is the nation Builder.
    BJP/RSS/NDA are nation Destroyer.

    Dr. Manmohan Singhiji was an Economist and he was the architect of Indian Economy for which he has guided and even brought R. Rajan to the R. Bank.

    Dr. Manmohan Singhs wonderful work was civilian nuclear energy for India.

    BJP's are the architects of C.C.C.C.C.C.C.

    In last Ten Year Prime Minister Manmohan Singh did a great job for India .He is the 21 Century Great Man. In Same Position if Modi or somebody was there that Govt never survives, fall down within a month. JAI HO PAJI & UPA I & II. After May 16th UPA III will form the Govt At Center with 285 seats & Big Surprise is there to all , UPA III's choose PM candidate from Karnataka.

    Good riddance of an utterly shameless and a worthless character. He was a laughing stock of the world. His pic appeared on the face of US TIME magazine titled 'the underachiever'. The article clearly depicted his inefficiencies and lived life being just a mouth piece of Antanio Maino. Even his daughter pleaded for his resignation. No self respect at all.
