Jindal asks Delhi Police to act against Zee

New Delhi, May 8 (IANS): Industrialist and Congress leader Naveen Jindal Thursday asked Delhi Police to expedite the investigation against Zee TV news channel editors and its owner Subash Chandra.

Jindal had released a CD which purportedly showed footage of the Zee editors trying to strike a deal with his company officials, telling them that their TV news channel would not air negative stories on the Jindal Group if money was paid to them.

At a meeting with Delhi Police Commissioner Bhim Sain Bassi, Jindal demanded that Delhi Police take action against the editors of Zee news, Zee Business and Subash Chandra.

"I am a victim. The case has been pending with Delhi Police for over a year. I had come here to request the Delhi Police chief to expedite the charge sheet," Jindal told reporters after meeting the commissioner.
