New Delhi, May 9 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee Friday condoled the passing away of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Janardhana Reddy.
In a condolence message to his wife N. Rajyalakshmi, the president said Janardhana Reddy was "an esteemed colleague" and "a dear friend".
"A distinguished Parliamentarian and senior Congress leader, Reddy served the nation in various capacities and made significant contributions for the welfare and upliftment of the underprivileged.
"The nation has lost an eminent personality, whose long years in the Parliament and in the public service as a legislator, minister and chief minister of Andhra Pradesh will be always remembered," the president said.
