Rainy Tuesday in Delhi


New Delhi, May 13 (IANS): Delhiites woke up to a rainy Tuesday morning and the Met Office has forecast light rain and thundershowers in some areas throughout the day.

"The sky will remain cloudy. Light rain and thundershowers could occur in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The day's minimum temperature settled seven notches below the season's average at 18 degrees Celsius.

The city recorded 9.7 mm of rainfall since Monday.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 84 percent.

The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 28 degrees Celsius.

The national capital Monday experienced a cloudy day with drizzles in some parts of the city. The day's maximum temperature was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled at 25 degrees Celsius, average for the season.
