Udupi, Jun 29: The Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), will be inaugurated by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday July 1, at the Poornaprajna campus here.
The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Government of Karnataka, informed Dr M R Hegde, director of the institute.
Offering a two-year course in MBA, the institute will accept 60 students through K-MAT, as approved by the government.
The building has been equipped with well-furnished classrooms, with rooms for group discussions having LCD and OHP facility, centrally air-conditioned computer lab with LAN and Internet facility.
Information on career options, employment, developing job search techniques and co-ordinating 'on campus recruitment', will be provided by a placement co-ordination cell, informed Hegde.
Sri Vibudesha Theertha Swamiji, chairman, PIM and Adamar Mutt senior pontiff, said that Oscar Fernandes, union minister, Dr V S Acharya, Udupi district in-charge minister, Manorama Madhwaraj, member of parliament, MLAs Lalaji R Mendon and K Raghupathi Bhat and D H Shankarmurhty, minister for higher education, will be the chief guests on the occasion.
