Congress headquarter wears deserted look

New Delhi, May 16 (IANS): The Congress headquarter here wore a deserted look Friday as the Lok Sabha election vote-count across the country showed a massive mandate against the party.

Most of the top leaders were unavailable in the All India Congress Committee office, barring a couple of spokespersons - Sanjay Jha and Rajeev Shukla.

Shukla admitted defeat. "We are all responsible for this defeat," he said.

The Congress had expected to win at least 100 seats, Shukla said.
