Sri Lanka invites Modi


Colombo, May 16 (IANS): President Mahinda Rajapaksa Friday invited BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to Sri Lanka after he led his party to a victory in Indian parliamentary election.

Presidential spokesman Mohan Samaranayake said the president had also congratulated Modi on his victory, Xinhua reported. Modi is set to become the prime minister May 21.
