Wedding bells, election victory for Trinamool candidate

Kolkata, May 16 (IANS): The verdict for the 2014 Lok Sabha poll proved to be a double bonanza for the Trinamool Congress candidate from West Bengal's Bishnupur who had postponed his wedding to avoid a clash with the poll date.

The 34-year-old Khan took a tough decision to push his wedding date post the elections. However, his win in Bishnupur was icing on the cake for the would-be-groom whose marriage was scheduled to take place May 7 - the election day in his constituency.

When his name was announced as a candidate for the Lok Sabha polls, arrangements had already been done for the wedding. His nomination came as a pleasant surprise.

And now his victory would serve as the perfect wedding gift for the would-be couple. All's well that ends well, indeed!
