Puttur: Injured by door frame, Woman breathes last

Puttur, May 19: A twisted murder case was reported in Sarve Village of Kumbra Taluk on Sunday May 18. 

The case involves a deceased victim, the wife and the accused, her husband. But the incident did not been occur due to any particular intention or enmity.

On May 17 at 8:30 pm, when the accused Modankila reached home, Janaki (40) delayed in opening the front door. When Modankila tried to force the door open in anger, the door frame fell just as Janaki approached the door. She immediately collapsed due to the impact of the injury.

Her mother gave her some water, treated her and she went to bed. The husband Modankila reportedly slept outside. But while Janaki’s family members tried to wake her up on May 18 morning, she did not respond and was found dead. She succumbed due to the impact of the injury caused by the door frame.

The incident has been brought to the notice of the Puttur Rural Police Station. The police have arrested Modankila and booked with murder case.
