Puttur, Jul 3: Local Hindu organizations have postponed the proposed bundh following police assurance that Akshata murder accused Sattar would be nabbed shortly.

As reported earlier Hindu organizations had given Sunday July 2 as deadline to nab Sattar who has been accused of killing Akshata.  Any failure in this regard, said Hindu organizations, would give way for bundh on Monday.

However, the police said that they have got important clues regarding the whereabouts of Sattar and using them they would trap him by Friday June 7.  MLA Shakuntala Shetty too met the leaders  of Hindu organizations and requested them to postpone bundh.

Earlier district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty visited Akshata's house at Tarigudde.  He met Akshata's mother Yashodha and her brother Bharatraj and spent some time with them.  He assured them that the accused will be arrested soon.
