New Delhi, May 21 (IANS): In a bid to widen its network in central Asia, Indian security equipment manufacturer MKU will display a range of its personnel and platform protection systems at Kazakhstan's defence expo - KADEX 2014, the company said Wednesday.
"MKU has already established a foothold in Kazakhstan with orders from local police as well as the ministry of interior," it said in a statement.
"With its state-of-the-art products, MKU can play a definite role in the technological modernization of the armed forces of Kazakhstan."
The third international exhibition of weapons systems and military equipment “KADEX-2014” is being organised May 23-24.
According to the defence equipment manufacturer, KADEX 2014 provides it with an opportunity to showcase its products in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) region.
The company said some of the products it will feature include personal protection range of equipment including 'BoltFree' and 'G-Factor' ammunition and secondary fragment protection helmets.
Other products include bullet proof vest 'Instavest' which has the unique capability of being divested by the wearer in one single action.
The company has 25 years of experience in providing end-to-end solutions and project management in development and production of ballistic protection systems for aircraft, land vehicles, naval vessels and objects against blast waves, splinters and bullets.
The company is also a registered NATO supplier since 1993 as well as an accredited supplier to the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology & In Service Support (BAAINBw).
MKU has in its repository, over 1,000 protection solutions for more than 100 threats. Its products and solutions are used by over 230 forces spread across 100-plus countries including most of the member states of the European Union (EU).
The company is headquartered in Kanpur, India, and has manufacturing facilities in India and Germany.
