Moroccan king congratulates Modi, pledges cooperation


Rabat, May 25 (IANS): King Mohammed VI, the King of Morocco, has sent a congratulatory letter to Narendra Modi, India's Prime Minister-designate, on the victory of his Bharatiya Janata Party in the parliamentary elections and conveyed his sincere wishes for success of his "noble mission".
The king expressed pride in the excellent friendship and cooperative ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of India, which have always been guided by the principles of trust and understanding for the service of national causes and strategic issues of common interest, the Moroccan news agency MAP reported.

He also welcomed the level of coordination and cooperation between the two countries on various international issues of common interest, welcoming the special place of India in its regional and international environment. The king also ensured the readiness of the kingdom to strengthen bilateral cooperation, both bilaterally and at the level of various international bodies, with his new government.
