Mumbai, Jul 6: Trustee of Buntara Sangha, Mumbai, former honorary general secretary, former working president of education committee Permankiguthu Shanker Pakkala ( 67 ), passed away here on Wednesday July 5, following a brief illness.
Pakkala who was running an offset printing business, was actively involved in several activities, and had served in various capacities of the Sangha. He also served as the secretary of New Amboli Society at Veeradesai, Andheri (W).
He was suffering from lung ailment for quite some time and had been admitted to S L Raheja Hospital at Mahim here.
Sudhakar S Hegde, president, Buntara Sangha, Mumbai, office-bearers and social worker Ashok Pakkala who were present during the cremation, condoled the demise of Permankiguttu Shanker Pakkala.
