Whitney Houston's biopic for TV upsets family

Los Angeles, May 27 (IANS): Late singer Whitney Houston's family are reported to be blocking the Angela Basset's Lifetime Production for making a biopic on the life of the late singer.

Angela Bassett will make her directorial debut with the film titled "Whitney Houston", which will follow the late star's rocky relationship with Brown.

The late superstar's loved ones are ''p****d'' that the Angela Basset-directed film depicting Whitney's rocky relationship with her ex-husband Bobby Brown is being planned as a TV movie because they feel she deserves so much more, reports tmz.com

"hitney is certainly worthy of more than a television movie. If Whitney were here today, this would not be happening,” said Pat Houston, the singer's sister-in-law.

Whitney's estate has reportedly already informed the production company of their displeasure and is said to be threatening a lawsuit if the network refuses to cancel production.
