Sunny, warm Tuesday; Wednesday to be similar


New Delhi, May 27 (IANS): The sunny, warm weather continued in the national capital Tuesday and the maximum temperature settled two notches below the season's average at 38.8 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected Wednesday.

"The sky will remain clear tomorrow (Wednesday) and the afternoon will be sunny and warm," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 40 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

Tuesday morning was pleasant and the minimum temperature settled three notches below the season's average at 24 degrees.

Monday's maximum temperature was four notches below the season's average at 36.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled six notches below average at 21.4 degrees Celsius.
