New Delhi, May 28 (IANS): Nripendra Mishra, former chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), was Wednesday appointed principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While talk about Mishra's appointment was doing the rounds for some time, the official intimation of his appointment was issued Wednesday.
Mishra, a 1967 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has served in various administrative positions.
He has also served as union home secretary in the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in 2004.
