Delhi sees hottest day, Friday to see 45 degrees

New Delhi, May 29 (IANS): Delhi sizzled Thursday with the maximum temperature recorded three notches above average at 43.7 degrees Celsius, making it the season's hottest day so far. Worse is in store as the met department has forecast 45 degrees for Friday.

The scorching sun coupled with hot winds made the day unbearable for those venturing outside as roads wore a deserted look.

The minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 26.3 degrees Celsius.

On Friday, the sky will become cloudy later in the day, said a weather official. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 45 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.
