Leslie Arouza made associate director of family commission

Udupi, May 31: Bishop Gerald Lobo of Udupi, who is known for empowering the lay faithful, appointed Leslie Arouza, a well-known family counselor and compere as the associate director of the family commission of the diocese.

In a brief ceremony held in the Bishop’s house on Friday May 30, the Bishop entrusted the charge to Leslie. He will assist Fr Chetan OFM Cap who is the director of the family commission and eventually will take over as the director.


The Bishop inducted three lay persons including a religious sister into diocesan service last year.

 Fr Stephen D’Souza who worked as a professor at St Joseph Seminary, Jeppu, Mangalore, was appointed as the director of commission for Bible, Catechetics and Liturgy (Divya Jyothi).
