Two brothers burnt alive as car catches fire


New Delhi, June 4 (IANS): Two brothers were burnt alive while their uncle was severely injured when their car caught fire here Wednesday, police said.

The incident took place in the Kapashera area in west Delhi when they were going to meet a relative around 5.30 p.m.

The bodies of Pankaj, 19 and Sumit, 16, were recovered from inside the rear and front seats of the car after two fire tenders doused the blaze. Their uncle Yashveer, who was driving the car, somehow managed to come out.

Yashveer, a Delhi Police constable, has been admitted to hospital where his condition is critical.

The deceased were residents of Gurgaon and their father works in Haryana Police.

Police said the cause of the fire is being investigated.
