Mumbai, Jul 13: A session court on Thursday July 13, sentenced constable Chandrakant Pawar to 15 years rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor girl last year.

He has also been sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment on the charge of kidnapping the minor victim and another year for kidnapping with the intention to rape the victim. Besides this, Pawar has been sentenced to one-month rigorous imprisonment on the charge of causing hurt to the victim.

All sentences will run concurrently. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him.
