Kuala Lumpur, June 11 (IANS): The Indian women's hockey team registered a back-to-back win, beating Malaysia 2-0 in their second game of the six-match Test series here Tuesday.
The series is a part of the preparations for the Commonwealth Games later this year.
The first goal of the match came in the 10th minute from Anuradha Devi. Not much later, Poonam Rani scored another brilliant field goal in the 28th minute, doubling the lead.
In the second half, Malaysia tried hard to strike a goal but nothing went their way.
“It is our second consecutive win against Malaysia and the team is motivated by it. I think we should have scored more goals in this match and our defenders again played well. The confidence level of all my team mates is at all time high and we look forward to win the remaining four games with bigger margins," said India captain Ritu Rani.
