Mumbai, Jul 16: Governor S M Krishna visited the Bombay Hospital to enquire about the health and recovery of persons injured in the bomb blasts of July 11.
About 14 persons injured in the bomb blasts - some of them seriously – are undergoing treatment at the Hospital.
Chairman of the Bombay Hospital Trust Bharat Kumar Taparia and Dean of the Hospital Dr B K Goyal briefied the Governor about individual cases.
Queen Elizabeth II shocked by the bombings in Mumbai
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has conveyed her sentiments to the people of Mumbai on the recent bombings in Mumbai.
In a message to the Governor of Maharashtra S.M.Krishna, the Queen has said:
"I was deeply shocked to learn of the many deaths and injuries caused by the recent bombings in Mumbai. A sense of horror at these terrible acts has been deeply felt in the United Kingdom together with the greatest sympathy and admiration for all those who have been coping with their consequences. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those killed and injured."
The British Deputy High Commissioner in Mumbai Vicki Treadall has reiterated the offer of support and specialist assistance from the U.K. The Governor has conveyed his thanks to the Queen for her message to the people of Mumbai.
