Mumbai, Jul 17: Narayana Suvarna, father-in-law of Varada Ullal, former president of Billawar Association Mumbai and father of Jayanti Ullal, president, women’s wing, who passed away in Nanavati hospital following a brief illness, was cremated in the cremetorium near Pawan Hans, Vile Parle (W) here on Sunday July 16.

Suvarna, a successful businessman, was a stalwart of the Billava community.

Hailing from Manchakal in Udupi district, he is survived by wife,  two daughters and three sons.

Jaya C Suvarna, president, Billawar Association Mumbai, Y Nagesh, vice-president, Vasudeva R Kotian, Nithyananda D Kotian, honorary chief secretary, N M Sanil, honorary chief treasurer, office bearers L V Amin, C T Salian, Devendra V Bangera, Shankar Poojary, Ashwajit Hejmadi, Rama G Suvarna, Shankar Poojary, B S Suvarna, members of women’s wing S Poojary, Sumalatha Amin, Shashikala Kotian and others, were present for the cremation ceremony.
