Rahul Gandhi demands probe into Bhilai accident


New Delhi, June 13 (IANS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi Friday called for a thorough investigation into Thursday's gas leak at the Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh that claimed six lives, a party statement said.

"Gandhi said the incident must be investigated thoroughly and stringent measures put in place to ensure that such accidents are not repeated," the statement said.

Gandhi expressed his grief at the casualties.

"His thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy," the statement added.
