Daijiworld News Network - Puttur (GA)

Puttur, Jul 18: Sri Ram Sene which has been criticizing inaction of the police department and administration in arresting Akshata murder accused Sattar has now come out with another idea to nab Sattar at the earliest.

In an announcement here on Monday July 17, Sri Ram Sene leader Arun Kumar Puttila said that they would pay Rs 5,000 to the police personnel if they nab Sattar by Saturday July 22.

He was speaking after attending the court proceedings with regard to a case levelled against him by Puttur police in connection with the July 10 bundh.

The Puttur police had lodged a case on Arun Kumar Puttila and few of his associates for causing problem to the public by blocking traffic in the town after celebrating the victory in a court case.

However, Arun Kumar Puttila and others have secured bail from the court on Monday July 17.

Akshata murder case has brought to fore the differences between various Hindu organizations and BJP.  Since Sri Ram Sene has taken lead in the protest, BJP, Bajrang Dal and other like-minded organizations have distanced themselves from the case.  This has irked many activists.  While BJP has been losing its ground in the case, Sri Ram Sene has managed to become popular among the locals.

This was proved during the student council elections at Vivekananda College and Government College wherein candidates backed by Sri Ram Sene prevailed over ABVP candidates.
