Bantwal, Jul 19: The police with the help of Hindu organizations have arrested 3 persons for while transporting cattle illegally at by-pass road here on Tuesday July 18 morning.  However, two persons managed to escape during the raid.

The police took action after receiving news from Hindu organizations.  Accordingly, they stopped a tempo at by-pass road in which a total of 16 cattle were transported.  The reports also said that two buffaloes in the tempo had died by the time the police had raided the vehicle.

The police arrested Ashraf (27) of Katipalla, Ummar (33) and Usman (23).  But tempo driver Ashraf (28) and cleaner Harris (23) managed to escape soon after stopping the tempo.

The arrested were produced before the court on Tuesday.  Court released them later on bail.

A case has been registered in the town police station in this regard.
