India beat Bangladesh by 47 runs


Mirpur, June 17 (IANS): India beat Bangladesh by 47 runs via the Duckworth Lewis method in the rain affected second ODI of the three-match series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium here Tuesday.

With the win, India wrapped up the series 2-0 with still a match to go.

Stuart Binny put on one of the finest performances, picking six for four as Bangladesh were bowled out for 58 runs in 17.4 overs while chasing a target of 106. Mohit Sharma got four for 22.

India were also all out for 105 in 25.3 overs. Skipper Suresh Raina was the top scorer with 27.

The match was reduced to a 41-over affair due to rain.
