Puttur, Jul 20: The incessant rains on Tuesday submerged the Hosmat Bridge near Kadaba on Uppinangady- Subramanya State Highway.
The bridge which disappears in the river occasionally causes untold misery to the commuters. With the Gundya River overflowing, water level rose above the bridge on Wednesday, Jul 19.
Traffic was stranded on either sides of the bridge. While the most affected were the students.
