Bantwal, Jul 20: Lalitha (52), wife of Anni Poojary of Kudukoli in Sangabettu village near here who had sustained critical injuries in a road accident on Thursday July 13 at Loretto Padav, succumbed to injuries in the hospital on Wednesday July 19.

Lalitha's son Naveen (19) had died in the accident on the same day.  Now amidst this tragedy, Lalitha too has breathed her last in the hospital.

Naveen and Lalitha were on their way to Shambhoor on Thursday on an auto rickshaw.  As it reached Loretto Padav, the rickshaw driver lost control of the vehicle, following a break failure.  As a result, the rickshaw hit against the compound wall of a house and turned turtle.

Lalitha and Naveen who were in the rickshaw sustained serious injuries in the accident.  They were immediately admitted to a hospital.  But Naveen succumbed to the injuries on the same day. 

Lalitha was still in the hospital and was undergoing treatment.  But she too succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday morning.

Bantwal police have registered a case in this regard.
