Mangalore, Jul 20: A case has been filed against 3 persons for allegedly cheating Syndicate Bank Belma branch near Derlakatte here.
The bank officials in a complaint filed with the Konaje police have stated that Moideen Haidarali of Belma, V Kamath of Mulki and Prakash Rao have cheated the bank by furnishing fake records to avail themselves of a loan from the bank.
Moideen had availed Rs 3.15 lac from the bank in 3 separate instalments to build a house. V Kamath and Prakash Rao were the witnesses for the same. However, Moideen did not repay the loan. Despite sending several notices, Moideen did not get in touch with the bank.
So the bank officials checked the records submitted by him at the time of obtaining the loan. Though the records were proper, they belonged to Khader and not Moideen.
Having come to know that Moideen had cheated them by mortgaging someone else's house, the Syndicate bank officials have now filed a case with the Konaje police in this regard.
