Paes-Stepanek seeded fifth in Wimbledon


London, June 20 (IANS): India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek Friday were seeded fifth in the men's double while Saina Mirza and her Zimbabwean partner Cara Black are fourth in the women's doubles for the Wimbledon starting Monday.

Sania and Cara will kick-off their campaign against Swiss Martina Hingis and Vera Zvonareva of Russia.

Paes and Stepanek will also start against the unseeded pair of Mariusz Fyrstenberg of Poland and American Rajeev Ram. 

The 'Indo-Pak Express' of Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, have been seeded eighth and they face Czech Frantisek Cermak and Russian Mikhail Elgin in the first round.

India's Purav Raja and his Brazilian partner Marcelo Demoliner, who came through the qualifiers, will be up against the 15th seeded pair of Juan Sebastian Cabal of Colombia and Poland's Marcin Matkowski.

Another Indian Divij Sharan and his Taipei partner Yen-Hsun Lu will be up against Englishman Jamie Delgado and Gilles Muller of Luxemburg.
