Force India to start 10th, 11th in Austrian GP


Spielberg (Austria), June 21 (IANS): Force India drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez will start the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix from 10th and 11th positions respectively at the Red Bull Ring here Sunday.

Williams locked out the front row with Brazilian Felipe Massa clinching pole, his first since Brazil in 2008 where he also went on to win his last race. Teammate Valtteri Bottas qualified second Saturday ahead of championship leader Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes.

After entering Q3, Hulkenberg did not set a time to preserve his tyres and machinery.

Earlier, Mexican Perez could not go beyond Q2 with a fastest time of one minute and 9.754 seconds.

The race has returned to Austria for the first time since 2003.
