Mangalore, Jul 22: The new students' council of Sandesha Lalitkala Mahavidyalaya (SLMV) was inaugurated on Saturday July 22 evening.
The programme began with poornakumbha welcome and Sandesha anthem by the students. This was followed by invocation dance.
Sandesha director Fr Francis Lewis welcomed the gathering. Director of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Bangalore J W Lobo presided over the function.
The proceedings included oath-taking by council members, honouring of well-wishers and a ballet 'legacy of the Legend' by SLMV students.
Director Fr Francis Lewis and principal Araty Shetty coordinated the programme. Manager Leo D'Souza and trustee and former city mayor P M Castelino were present on the occasion.
