Sao Paulo, June 22 (IANS/EFE): Brazilian football legend Ronaldo has congratulated Germany’s veteran striker Miroslav Klose on matching his record as the top scorer of the World Cup.
“Welcome to the club, Klose. I can imagine how happy you must be right now. What a great World Cup!” the 37-year-old Ronaldo posted in Portuguese, English and German languages on his official Twitter account
The 'Phenomenon' had said in the past that he was not worried about his World Cup record of 15 goals, for records are there to be broken.
Ronaldo scored four goals in the 1998 World Cup, eight in 2002 and three in 2006. He lifted the World Cup twice in 1994 and 2002. The 36-year-old Klose netted five goals in 2002, another five in 2006, four in 2010 and a goal in 2014.
