Son held for raping mother in Kerala

Kottayam (Kerala), June 22 (IANS): A 25-year-old man was Sunday arrested in Kerala on charges of raping his mother, police said.

"This was happening for some time and there used to be ruckus in their home over this. The neighbours were unhappy over this and filed a complaint and we arrested the man," a police official at the Pala police station near here told IANS.

The head of the family works as a casual labourer and is reported to be an alcoholic.

The accused - who at times used to work in a hotel at Pala - has confessed to the crime, he said.

Don’t worry how I relate facts to faults, at least I am not starting a futile discussion or debate like you who is a perfect example of tel mai machis dalna.
There is no need for discussion, you are the one crying on top of your voice trying to enforce it on us. So like they say in Mumbai you need to shove it up yours because we don’t need this baseless theory of yours.
If truth is bitter in any religion, then start discussion on your religion first. Every religion has its ups and downs that does not mean you go around trashing a religion.
Learn to take things in your stride, the Bible did not tell you or hold a gun on your head to follow it, don’t berate others for believing in their faith.

Prabhu only know how to put down the Bible by finding faults in it. Basic common sense Prabhu, its been written so many centuries ago and people are not fools to follow it just like that. If it is so contradictory for you, move ahead man in life and stop making a big issue of it on this portal. We already have enough tensions in our lives stop adding fuel to it by making a mountain of a mole hill. Everyone is being courteous by not starting any kind of arguments on any other religion.

    Mr. Prabhu,
There is marked difference between June 22 reported incident and Genesis 19 : 30-38. Unlike June 22 incident Lots daughters resorted to this shameful act for following reasons
    1) for preserving offspring because there was not a man on earth to come in to them according to their belief and custom .
    2) Lot did not know when she lay down or when she rose ( because of intoxication ).
    3) The act was not originated from men but by women.
After all , above incident did not repeat and preceded THE Law which was given by God through Moses to feel guilty according to law (Romans 7 :7)

    In June 22 incident,
    1) Son abused mother
    2) Son , mother even neighbors know this and This was happening for some time. finally notified by neighbors.
3)Men ( son ) dominated women because of his lust.
    4) Now , every body knows this is sin according to religious view point and offence according to state Law.

That is why you are wrong in relating this to Bible . Bible never teaches us to engage in this or any kind of Lustful sexual activities.
No more argument from my side.

No two acts in rape can be the same...
You say it was once bible says two consecutive nights.
You say lot was drunk i say this man was drunki i have condemed the act. Both amount to INCEST AND RAPE.
YOU SAY THERE WERE NO OTHER MEN ON EARTH.....JOKE
You call it shamefull act i too call it the same.
Whether man raped woman or woman raped man it is rape.
    What about good old
Lot offering his daughters to be raped....
Now dont explain i too can read.
I only refer and quote from the bible
What ever i mention is not my own but from references from the bible and the footnotes in it.and studies made by over 200 scholars not repitation of one who, himself has not made a study.

Prabhu, after going thru’ your various comments I strongly feel that it would be stupidity from our part to argue with you as you are trying to force yourself not to be convinced, besides trying your best to falsify the true things. Bible is God’s Word, which can’t be destroyed, manipulated or demeaned by people like you. It is not mythology like you see many religious “holy books”. Though the Bible is written over 1600 years by various people including prophets and Jesus’ disciples, no part of the Bible conflicts with one another. The Old Testament was written by Moses, David, Solomon, Isaiah , etc. whereas the New Testament was written by Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, James, etc. Since these writers were inspired by God Himself, the real author of the Book is God Himself. Though the books written by Mathew, Mark, Luke & John have similar contents, they were not copied from each other’s book. Since you don’t understand the meaning of God’s inspiration, it would be futile to explain about it to you. Who told you part of the Bible is forged? People like you try their best to make it look like forged one. Satan has tried in Eden Garden to convince Eve against God and His authority and he is still trying to convince people against God and His Word. Hope you got the message.

    Annonymous/ copied
All four Gospels are anonymous in the sense that none includes the author's name. The traditional names - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - did not become associated with these writings until the second century. In the early centuries of Christianity, our four Gospels coexisted with a number of other Christian writings, many of which have not been preserved. Finally, the Synod of Carthage adopted the present twenty-seven New Testament books, including the four Gospels, as the canon of the New Testament in the year 397.

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke are known as the Synoptic Gospels because they are strikingly similar. Bible scholars believe the authors of Matthew and Luke were aware of the Gospel of Mark and incorporated much of it in their own writings, along with material from another common source that has not been preserved, plus unique material of their own.

Mr. Prabhu, first of all let me clarify that I am not a preacher and have no intentions of changing anybody's beliefs. I only put forth my views as per my reading the bible and the teaching of the Holy Apostolic Catholic Church of which. I am giving below an excerpt which if you are interested may be of help if you are interested from Eighteenth century Bible commentator Matthew Henry comments on the passage,

‘He [Satan] is the great promoter of falsehood of every kind. He is a liar, all his temptations are carried on by his calling evil good, and good evil, and promising freedom in sin.’1

Finally, the serpent’s efforts resulted in the penalty of death falling not only on Adam and Eve, but on the whole human race. Jesus’ term of ‘murderer’ therefore certainly applies to whoever tempted Eve.

The work of the serpent is thus the enactment of everything that Jesus ascribed to ‘the devil ’ in John 8:44. Furthermore, there is no other event in recorded history that better fulfils this description of the devil than does the account of the temptation by the serpent in Genesis 3.

A further tie-up between the serpent of Genesis 3 and Satan, or the devil, is given in Revelation 12:9 and 20:2:

‘And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world’

The word ‘Satan" means ‘adversary’—primarily to God, secondarily to men the term ‘devil’ signifies ‘slanderer’ of God to men, and of men to God.’2
To believe it or leave it is left to the discretion of the readers.

The word “devil” comes from the Greek word diábolos, which means “accuser.”[1] In early Judaism, unlike modern Christianity, Satan was not viewed as a fallen angel or an adversary to God, but as a prosecutor in God’s court (with God, of course, being the ultimate judge). [2] In fact, the Old Testament mentions “satan” a scant 14 times: once in 1 Chronicles, 11 times in Job, and twice in Zechariah.[3] In all but one instance, Satan is obediently serving God in his role as an accuser: presenting men to God for judgment.[4] In the original Hebrew, Satan is not a proper name, but a title. The Hebrew term ha-satan or “the Satan,” can be translated as “the prosecutor.”[5]

Prabhu, I am not saying Michael is Jesus, Bible says. That’s why I said you would not understand it if you don’t read it fully. Google for “Who is Michael the Archangel?” to get the answer. For your quick info, let me paste below the answer:
THE spirit creature called Michael is not mentioned often in the Bible. However, when he is referred to, he is in action. In the book of Daniel, Michael is battling wicked angels in the letter of Jude, he is disputing with Satan and in Revelation, he is waging war with the Devil and his demons. By defending Jehovah’s rulership and fighting God’s enemies, Michael lives up to the meaning of his name—“Who Is Like God?” But who is Michael?
At times, individuals are known by more than one name. For example, the patriarch Jacob is also known as Israel, and the apostle Peter, as Simon. (Genesis 49:1, 2 Matthew 10:2) Likewise, the Bible indicates that Michael is another name for Jesus Christ, before and after his life on earth. Let us consider Scriptural reasons for drawing that conclusion.
Archangel. God’s Word refers to Michael “the archangel.” (Jude 9) This term means “chief angel.” Notice that Michael is called the archangel. This suggests that there is only one such angel. In fact, the term “archangel” occurs in the Bible only in the singular, never in the plural. Moreover, Jesus is linked with the office of archangel. Regarding the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 states: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice.” Thus the voice of Jesus is described as being that of an archangel. This scripture therefore suggests that Jesus himself is the archangel Michael.

For your further info, anonymous people did not write the Bible. The books were written by prophets and Jesus followers, who were inspired by God. Without God’s inspiration, the book like Bible with accurate prophesies can’t be written.

Prabhu, I'm glad to note that you have read Genesis. One has to read the whole Bible to come to know if the serpent, who tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit is Satan or just a snake. I agree with you that it is not mentioned in Genesis that the snake is Satan. “The serpent” questions God’s right to rule and his way of ruling. The Satan who approached Eve in the form of a snake deceives Eve. Do you think just a snake, if not Satan, could deceive Eve? Revelation 12: 7-9 (the final book of the Bible) says: “And war broke out in heaven: Michael (Jesus) and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. So down the great dragon was hurled, THE ORIGINAL SERPENT, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.”

Let’s all forget what happened during creation in any religion and not debate on it, this incident is relevant to today’s day and time and is shameful.
What I fail to understand is just like any mother fights to safeguard her child from any harm, why did this mother not use her maternal instinct and give a befitting reply or react to her son’s horrific deed, even if he was threatening her life how can you still allow such an act to be committed on oneself. I would rather see such a son behind bars or have his hands and legs broken than have him violate me.

Mr. Prabhu, writing came to this world after BC and during Adam and eve's time there was no one to sit and write their story. Adam and Eve are just a symbolic representations to say god created the world. There are theories that Adam and Eve's stories are not true. Bible is written by human and not god. Anyways even if that's a true story, human has developed his abilities to think and act over the period and to live a social life. Medically to have a healthy baby from blood relatives like sister, brother is not possible. quoting bible for this mans animal act is not justifiable. he should be treated in mental hospital. Like wise communal clashes cannot be justified quoting Khuran or bhagavadgeeta.

In the beginning God created male and female in his own likeness and image. Sin was not in existence and God blessed them to increase and multiply. There is no mention of only one couple Adam and Eve. They represent the couples male and female. The sin came into existence in the form of temptation by the Satan and vanity of humans and the forbidden fruit represents something that was done against the will of God. In the old testament people were marrying within their own clan to keep the purity of their race. Even the Mosaic law forbade the Jews from taking wives or husbands from non-Jewish people. However, the heinous crime here cannot be compared with the biblical family growth or God's blessing of increase and multiply. This crime can be compared to the ones committed by humans before the great flood when the earth was destroyed by God by sending 40 days and night rain and only Noah and his righteous family were saved or to that of Sodom and Gomorrah when only Lot and his family were save from the fury that rained from heaven and burnt those two towns.

    Condemn this animal's act!!

Such doomsday stories are being floated time and again, but whenever it is going to happen, it will happen!!

FYI incest is allowed in some communities since ages, just do some research and find out the facts!!

it happened at the beginning of the creation of mankind. God created male and female, not mother-son, father-daughter, brother-sister, We are animals anyway, so Whom to blame we or God? Gen: 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them male and female he created them.

Unbelievable...I’m just shaking my head in disbelief. The questions that run through my mind are:
    1. How did any mother ever tolerate such behaviour even once, she should have reported this idiot the very first time he did it.
    2. Was this man insane? What was going on in the mind of the son to have looked at his mother in appropriately? How could he have talked to her inappropriately? How dare he even dared to touch her inappropriately? Leave alone rape.
    3. Did the head of family (an alcoholic) know about what is happening when out of his drunken stupor?
    4. Did the neighbours knew what was happening and looking the other way ?
    5. Lastly when an Indian woman is raped in foreign countries there is a huge hue and cry and there would have been several tens of comments some derogatory expressing condemnation of “Western Culture”, but here just three comments..........hmmmn!!!!!!

Father-daughter incest near the town of Tzo'ar: In verses 30 to 38, the second story describes how Lot's two daughters got their father drunk on wine, engaged in sexual intercourse with him on two successive nights, became pregnant, and eventually gave birth to two sons Moab and Benammi. Their sons are described as founding the Moabite and Ammonite nations. The rest of this essay will deal with this story of incest. 1

    @Alwyn, CANADA.

Alwyn, Canada- Request, think before you write something. Doctrine of all the religions of the world teach good but it is upto the followers to abide. Explain of which Sharia nations this crime happens. If it was/is so, and found guilty, then the son who raped his mother, would have been beheaded or stoned to death.

nowadays you can see the case of incest by father to his daughter and mother supporting this heinous crime, wife killing her husband and father in law killing his daughter in law and son raping his own mother and so on... what we do is condemning the act. But unfortunately we cannot see the root cause!!! see what prophet mohammad has said 14 centuries back : Alcoholic drink is the mother of all crimes" unfortunately we still in the mood of backing the slogan "do not mix drinking and driving" that means if you want drink dont drive ie drinking is harmless when you are not driving' Sorry to say this community will not prosper until last of wine ceased to drink. and prophet said: every intoxicants is prohibited whatever quantity may it be. So good fortune for those who ponder.

Wow ! It happens only in a literate state of Kerala. If it was in a troubled state of Uttar Pradesh or other states, one could understand. But Kerala. Hmm, Kerala rocks.

Mallu Mahathme! One more subject to their progress card……

This was happening for some time……OMG!

What a shameful act. This crossed all limits of sin.
This is beyond the imagination. It is a sin even one can think of it. It shows the worst possible sin any one can imagine in this world. Fall of morality as well humanity.

And now this mf, can easily escape! B’coz, perhaps there won’t be any IPC in our LAW there will be IPC for man & woman, but not for mother & son.
What else to say? It’s not about women’s security, like we make strict laws…police protection etc…etc…
It is a basic thing that one should RESPECT the MOTHER, either he is an unpad or post graduate! There is nothing like a son and mother cannot be alone at home.
How one can be so animal…? This is the end of human culture! HE MUST BE HANGED WITHOUT A TRAIL
A death sentence in sharia law is good to do away such things.

Oh God ! Is this left to happen in India, and that too in God's Own ? Look at the woman who kept quiet against abuse towards by her own son ! So much for family honor ?

Has Nirbhaya left any thing to teach to women of this nation yet ? I am utterly speechless !
