Mangalore, Jul 23: The hike in prices of petroleum products has resulted in hike in bus fares in the distrct.

With effect from Aug 1, the Regional Transport Authority has announced a revision of bus fares.

The revision will be 5 to 10 percent. However first stage fare of Rs 4 for express and service buses will continue to remain the same.

The city bus and the rural transport fare from 1 km to 2 kms has been revised from Rs 3 to Rs 3.25.
