Kundpaur, Jul 24: Finally the rumours that some of the top Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) leaders of the taluk will join Congress have been proved true.

Hundreds of Bajrang Dal activists led by their top leaders joined Congress during formal function held at the Tourist Bungalow here on Sunday July 23.

Co-convener of Udupi district Hindu Jagarana Vedike and taluk Bajrang Dal leader Sangam Pradeep Kumar along with hundreds of his supporters joined Congress on Sunday.  Bajrang Dal zonal head Annappa Anagally, Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) taluk chief Ashok Devadiga, Kumbhashi HJV chief Nagraj Achari, Kavradi HJV leader Gopal and Koni HJV chief Uday were among the top leaders who joined Congress on Sunday.

Manjunath Kailakere, BJP activists Vijay Chickensal and Daya, Bajrang Dal leaders Nitin Kharvi, Lokesh Kharvi, Gangolli, Shailesh, Annappa Poojary, Prakash Shetty, and Vishwanath Moorukai also joined Congress.  Other than these leaders, hundreds of activists too joined Congress.

Kundapur block Congress president Malyadi Shivram Shetty welcomed them and accepted them into the party.  ZP member Devanand Shetty, taluk panchayat member Sampigedi Sanjeev Shetty and Congress leader Vijaydhar Poojary too were present on the occasion.

Later speaking some of the Bajrang Dal leaders who joined Congress said that they were frustrated by sheer negligence showed against them by BJP eversince it came to power in the state.
