Mangalore, Jul 24: The Canara Organization for Development and Peace (CODP), Fr Mullers Hospital Mangalore and people of K S Nagar jointly organized free health camp in P K Model Higher Primary School, K S Rao Nagar, Mulki on Sunday July 23.
Inaugurating the health camp Fr Onil D’Souza, director CODP said, "Today medical care has become very expensive and out of reach of common man. Though there are many ultra-speciality hospitals and highly educated doctors, they are not in reach for the common man. So these types of free health camps are the need of the hour to reach out the poor."
Sonubai and Mahadevi, counsellors, Dr Shweta D’Cunha, Dayananda, head master of government school, Nanda Pais, president Dakshina Kannada Mahila Vedike and Jeevan of CODP were also present on the occasion. A total of 208 persons from K S Rao Nagar availed the facility.
