Mangalore, Jul 26: The long awaited dream of residents of Alape, Karmar, Jalligudde, Bajal, Faisalnagar and Pakkaladka to have a railway overbridge near Kankanady railway station would soon be realized.
The state government has signaled green to construct railway overbridge on Padil-Bajal road at level crossing near Kankanady railway station. The government has also asked the basic amenities development department to include the project in their budget for the year 2006-07.
This was announced in a press release by Suratkal MLA J Krishna Palemar recently.
He also said that Mangalore City Corporation has allotted Rs 1 crore in its annual budget for the year 2006-07 for the project.
