Ankara, June 30 (IANS): Turkish soccer giant Galatasaray are in talks with Scottish coach David Moyes for its vacant managerial post.
Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal confirmed Monday that talks were underway with Moyes, but stressed that the Scot was not the club's only option, reports Xinhua.
"We have talked with David Moyes and learned that he might come to Galatasaray," Aysal said.
Moyes arrived in Istanbul Friday for talks with the Turkish club.
Moyes had just completed a disappointing spell with Manchester United, after Alex Ferguson hand-picked his fellow Scot to replace him after his successful 26 years with the English giant.
Aysal also said that the club was in talks with three German coaches: Ottmar Hitzfeld, Joachim Loew and Jurgen Klinsmann, who are all currently at the World Cup coaching Switzerland, Germany and the United States respectively.
Galatasaray terminated contract with Italian coach Roberto Mancini June 11.
