Mangalore, Jul 29: Barke police inspector Manjunath has been suspended for alleged assault on construction workers.

A theft case had been reported from Mannagudde recently.  In this regard two construction workers Hanumant and Govinda were summoned for investigation to Barke police station.  They later complained that Barke police inspector (crime) Manjunath assaulted him without reason.

Town DySP had booked the case and led the investigation against inspector Manjunath in this regard.  Based on the investigation of DySP, inspector Manjunath has been suspended.
