New Delhi, July 2 (IANS): MiCar, offering self-drive car rental services, Wednesday launched its operations in the national capital.
“MiCar envisages to give the city dwellers a better and comfortable way to commute,” the company said in a statement.
Initially it will offer membership-based service wherein one can subscribe to yearly plans based on one’s usage at subsidised rates.
In the first phase of operations, the company has introduced one car in each of the three categories namely, compact, sedan and sports utility vehicle (SUV) in their fleet of 50 cars.
Speaking on the occasion, Suyagya Aggarwal, co-founder and director MiCar said: “There is a vast untapped market for car sharing which is still at a very nascent stage. Through our venture, we want to create a new sharing economy that offers hassle-free driving.”
The company has introduced a dedicated mobile application for making the booking procedure easy.
