Mangalore, Jul 29: A meeting of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), was held on Friday July 28 here.
Addressing the meeting, D John, commissioner, Regional Provident Fund, said that the computerization of the Employment Provident Fund Organization aims at providing social security to the employees. Scope for fraud will be nil or minimal. The employees each will be given an unique identification number and will remain unchanged even if the employee changes jobs.
The computerization will also pave the way for transparency and efficiency. Claim settlements will be done in just three days, he added.
A Srinivas Rao, president, KCCI, and office-bearers of the chamber were present at the meet.
