Puttur, Jul 31: The Uppinangady police on Sunday July 30 arrested one more person in connection with the robbery at one Dr Shivshankar Shastri's house at Hosamajal on Wednesday July 26.

The police arrested Mohammad Bava, a resident of Gandhi Park area in Uppinangady.  It is said that he is the close accomplice of Abbas alias Oruminute Abbas who had earlier been nabbed by police on Friday July 28.

The police reports said that Mohammad Bava's role in the robbery had been proved during the interrogation.  So he was arrested.  However, police are yet to arrest two persons who have managed to escape with stolen booty.  It is suspected that are hiding in Chikamagalur district.

Uppinangady police inspector Ramesh and Puttur rural cirlce inspector Manjunath Rai have been leading the investigation.  Three separate teams have been constituted to trap the accused who are still at large.
