Sao Paolo, July 6 (IANS/EFE): Brazil President Dilma Rousseff called on all the Brazilians to unite around the football team that will be facing Germany in World Cup semi-final slated for Tuesday.
Rousseff through her social networking site Twitter said that she was extremely proud of the Brazilian team, reports EFE.
Though star striker Neymar has been ruled out with a back injury, Rousseff was confident that Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has the resources available to compensate Neymar's absence.
In a letter to the national team, Rousseff stressed that she feels the taste of victory not only because Brazil is hosting the World Cup but also because the team has done really well.
Brazil will also be missing captain Thiago Silva after he picked up his second consecutive yellow card of the tournament for fouling Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina.
