Brazil asks FIFA to punish Zuniga, cancel Silva's booking

Rio de Janeiro, July 7 (IANS/EFE): The Brazilian FA (CBF) has asked FIFA's Disciplinary Committee to investigate and punish Colombia’s Camilo Zuniga after his collision with Neymar caused the ace forward a serious back injury.

CBF demanded that FIFA punish Zuniga after he kneed Neymar’s back during the quarter-final game, ending the Brazilian superstar's World Cup campaign, reports EFE.

CBF also demanded the cancellation of Thiago Silva’s yellow card, which bans him from participation against Germany in the semi-final Tuesday.
