Rio de Janeiro, July 7 (IANS/EFE): Psychiatrist Regina Brandao paid a visit to Brazil’s national camp to support the country's football team, after Neymar’s injury and the death of Marcelo’s grandfather.
“Continuing the route planned before the start of the World Cup, psychiatrist Regina Brandao will be in Granja Comary Sunday to meet and talk with the players of the Brazilian national team.”, said an official statement by the Brazilian FA earlier Sunday, reports EFE.
Neymar suffered a back injury during the game with Colombia, which will sideline him for three to six weeks.
In addition, Marcelo’s grandfather, 78, died Saturday. He is cited as the main reason for his grandson becoming a footballer. Marcelo was given permission to leave the camp to attend the funeral, but he opted to stay.
