Mangalore, Aug 2: The accused in the theft attempt in the Shri Dhoomavati Bhadrakali Temple at Kudroli during which a serpent idol was damaged on Friday July 29, is now in police net.

 

Mohammed Asif alias Sakkare Mithai Asif (24) has been arrested by Mangalore North Police on Aug 1.

During interrogation, Asif confessed and along with another Asif had attempted to steal valuables from the temple.

Police constables of North police station, Mohan, Dhamodar and Rajaram under the guidance of police inspector Vinay A Gaonkar conducted the operaton.
