Rossdale saved his pet dog from drowning

Los Angeles, July 8 (IANS): Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Bush, saved his dog from drowning.

The 48-year-old musician rescued his pet - a Pomeranian named Chewy - from drowning in the sea after a huge wave at Miami beach pulled the tiny creature under the water, reports contactmusic.com.

At the weekend, Rossdale had been playing on the beach with his sons - Kingston and Zuma. Fashion stylist Rachel Zoe's husband Rodger Berman and their three-year-old son Skyler were also with him when the wave wiped out Chewy.

Rodger immediately scooped up the kids, but Gavin dived into the water to save his four-legged friend after noticing that he was struggling to swim back to shore.

Meanwhile, Gavin's wife Gwen Steffany and Zoe watched the whole scene from a balcony above, but were relieved to see that Gavin had the situation under control.
