Puttur, Aug 3: One person was killed in a car-jeep collision at Udane near here on Wednesday August 2.
The deceased has been identified as Sadashivan (45), a resident of Janata Colony near Shirady here.
A car coming from Bangalore collided with a passenger jeep which was going to Gundya from Nelyadi at Udane here. As a result jeep driver lost control over the vehicle owing to which the jeep turned turtle. Sadashivan, who was sitting at the back in the jeep, was thrown out before the jeep fell on him.
As a result he sustained serious injuries and died on the way to hospital. A few passengers including the jeep driver too have sustained minor injuries.
Uppinangady police have registered a case in this regard.
